WA' SUP! Stand Up Paddleboarding Comes to Truckee
With the popularity of SUP growing at such a rapid rate, Cycle Paths now offers SUP rentals/ demos, sales, and accessories at the Truckee store as well as on the westshore. Our new downtown location is in close proximity to Boca, Stampede and Prosser reservoirs, as well as Donner Lake, and the beautiful beaches of Tahoe's North Shore. Check out all the cool boards and gear from Tahoe SUP Dakine, Hobie, Rainbow, and Reef.

Cr bike ride the Truckee River Legacy Trail uise the Legacy Trail
Come and check out Truckee's newest outdoor resource. This beautiful trail follows the Truckee River east of town, and is a mix of paved and packed dirt. It affords great views, a cool breeze, and easy access to beautiful swimming holes and sweet fishing spots. Cycle Paths is now renting super-comfy, multi-speed cruisers from our the new downtown location. It's a quick pedal to the trailhead of this kid friendly trail. Bring your towel, your fishing pole, and maybe pack a picnic and get cruising.

Exploring Tahoe's Westshore's great paved bike path has just got more exciting. New this year, Cycle Paths is offering a multi-sport Pedal and Paddle Tour. Cruise down the beautiful westshore on a bike into Blackwood Canyon and paddle back to the shop across Lake Tahoe's Hurricane Bay to Sunnyside. The best of both worlds in one funfilled package. Cycling Tip of the Day

Don't Get Doored! - Whenever you're pedaling past parked cars, remain alert for drivers exiting. Should they swing open their door, you'll have to react quickly to avoid a collision that may seriously injure you and damage your bike. It's called getting "doored," and take our word for it, it's no fun! One secret to avoiding it is looking into the cars ahead (you can also look into their windshield-mount rear-view mirrors). If you see that someone's sitting in the car, give the car a wide berth. In fact, to be safe, it's best to never assume a parked car is empty.
